Afroko has already added many Afro-Caribbean shops, restaurants, services, events and cultural businesses across the UK to help customers easily discover them. If you see your business listed on Afroko, you can claim it and take full control of your page.
Claiming your business gives you ownership of your listing and allows you to update your details, upload photos, add services and connect directly with customers.
Why Claim Your Business?
Claiming your business gives you:
• Full control to edit and update your listing
• The ability to upload photos, menus or service details
• Accurate information shown to customers
• A professional presence on the Afroko platform
• Better visibility in searches
• Direct contact with customers who view your profile
• A trusted, verified badge (where applicable)
A claimed listing helps customers trust that the information is fresh, accurate and officially managed by you.
How to Claim Your Business

Step 3: Click “Claim Listing”
If the listing is unclaimed, you will see a Claim Listing button on the page.

Step 4: Provide Verification
To protect business owners, we may request simple verification such as:
• Your business email address
• A phone number linked to your business
• A social media link you own
• Proof that you manage the business (e.g., website, photo, business card)
Verification is normally completed within 24–48 hours.

Just click List Your Business at the top of the website and complete the form.
It’s free and takes only a few minutes.
Why Afroko Adds Listings Automatically
Afroko adds some Afro-Caribbean businesses manually using publicly available information to make it easier for customers to discover them. This helps:
• Increase visibility for smaller businesses
• Support local entrepreneurship
• Strengthen the Afro-Caribbean community online
However, only the real owner or authorised representative can manage the listing after it is claimed.
Keeping Your Business Information Accurate
Once you claim your business, you are responsible for making sure your information is:
• Correct
• Updated
• Professional
• Safe for customers to rely on
Keeping your page updated helps customers trust your business and ensures you appear in the right category and location searches.
